Prompt: Choose a fairly simple character for a cartoon, video game, or film and do sculpt them using the sculpting tools available in Blender. Begin by blocking in their primary shapes and forms. Afterwards, apply a moderate amount of detail to your model using additional sculpting tools. A recommended starting point for your model would be something similar to a basic Pokemon.
For this lab assignment I decided to model "Jake" the dog from the show "Adventure Time". I'm not very familiar or skilled at sculpting in blender so I wanted to choose a simple rounded character.

Process:
I spent the most time on the face because I wanted it to be as close to the reference image as possible. I did struggle with the leg because I tried to draw it first but then decided it was best to add a cylinder in layout. Figuring out the placement took some time. For the arms I decided to draw them instead of using a cylinder. I'm not sure which option would have been best. Overall, I do think this resembles Jake, but the arms could definitely be improved.
