Prompt: Using the concepts covered in class today, continue to explore particle systems using online tutorials, explorations, and experiments. In doing so, create an interesting and visually pleasing particle animation sequence. Your particle sequence should be approximately 7-10 seconds long and extend beyond what was covered in class. As always, get weird and create something funky and eye-catching.
After watching the videos on particles I wasn't sure what I wanted to make but I wanted to experiment with the different settings. My idea was to create a lava lamp because I wanted the particles to glow and have fluid movement inside a transparent container.
Process:
I created two particle systems with the same settings, but with different emission colors and the lower particle emitter has a gravity of -1 so that the particles travel up. I also lowered the speed, added a hurricane field, and lowered the number as well as lifetimes of each particle emitter. Overall, the design was pretty simple, I mainly wanted to experiment with the different particle settings at a small scale.
