Readings:

The first reading "The iOS 13 Design Guidelines: An Illustrated Guide" was extremely detailed and I see this being a valuable resource for someone who want to create an app similar to IOS. What I found to be the most interesting was the app icons section. The icons tend to be my favorite design element but I always struggle with the sizing and quality. I'm including Erik's icon design plan for future reference:

  1. Create a square icon that looks good at 60x60px (and verify it looks good masked with the Apple superelljpse*)

  2. Blow it up to @2x (120x120px) and optionally adjust it to be as pixel-perfect as you’d like

  3. Blow it up to @3x (180x180px) and optionally adjust it to be as pixel-perfect as you’d like

  4. Blow it up to 1024x1024px

  5. Export all 4 sizes as PNGs. Done 🙌

I also thought the section about iOS Lists (AKA “Table Views”) was interesting since it said that “90% of mobile design is list design”. Overall I enjoyed looking at all the images and the labels, I will reference this reading in the future for design guidelines.

The second reading "UI Design Dos and Don'ts", right of the bat I realized that I had done the first design don't for the visual organization project. I had a lot of scrolling horizontally and this reading does not recommend that. The contrast and spacing made the most sense. For the organization section I agree that having the one edit looks much nicer than the multiple.
