Job to be done: Project

fernanda villalobos

The "job to be done" I have chosen is dealing with the newspaper that gets left at the front door every morning. It keeps piling up and now there is a collection of newspapers by the door and you just want to get rid of them. Some possible solutions to this "job to be done" can be recycling all the newspapers, setting them on fire in a safe location, using them to clean your windows, giving them to someone else, leaving a note on your door that says "no newspaper" or telling the person dropping off the newspaper that they can skip your door. The solution I hired is recycling the newspaper every morning, that way it doesn't pile up at the door. I chose this solution because its the simplest one and I don't see myself having time to make use of the newspaper. The moment the newspaper gets dropped off, I would just pick it up, walk to the recycling bin, and throw it away. An unexpected solution a person with the same job might "hire" would be to make paper mâché or crafts with the newspaper. Especially during quarantine, someone can use the newspaper for some diy projects, if they have extra time on their hands.
