I really wanted to incorporate a book shelf in my interface, I tried a couple designs and colors, such as grey but that took away from the warmth that comes with wood and reading books. I thought the dark green with the white text complemented the light wood color and took away any harshness. The personal library screen has the shelf with all the books and you can vertically scroll. The button with the exclamation mark reminds you that you are borrowing that book and if you click the button it lets you know who you're borrowing that book from. If you click the "+" on the greyed out book you can add a new book to you're library. The screen asks for information like title, genre, author and a picture of the cover. If you click on the friends icon in the tab bar there is individual shelves for each of your friends books. After receiving feedback I ended up adding a "recommended" shelf and if you click on the first book "The Great Gatsby" you can see the books information, who it belongs to, and the option to borrow. The lent out icon in the tab bar brings you to a screen with another shelf but it has the books that you are letting someone borrow. If you click on the first book you can see information about the book and who's borrowing it. I had a lot of hover options for the books but I changed them to take you to another screen with more information which I think it's more helpful.
